Nutrition Services

FMDH Nutrition Services helps you live a healthy lifestyle through good food choices.  Eating well is the cornerstone for good health.  We have two dietitians on staff, having earned credentials by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.  They are also members of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.  In addition, each dietitian is licensed by the Board of Medical Examiners with the State of Montana.  Each dietitian has also completed additional training in lactation management, and they are certified lactation counselors.

What services does a nutritionist provide?

We can help you develop a personalized nutrition plan to meet your health goals, whether it is to manage weight, manage a chronic illness, or eat well through normal life stages, including pregnancy, infancy and through the golden years. We welcome private consultations or community education opportunities.

We administer the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants & Children (WIC).

Check out https://dphhs.mt.gov/publichealth/WIC for more information on WIC.
